Guys, check your closets for Vintage fashions
Google defines vintage clothing as “garments originating from a previous era.” Vintage was first introduced in the 1960s. Men today wear vintage clothing because it’s fashionable and there are lots of reasons that it has become popular and trendy.
People believe that mainstream fashion has stopped being unique and high street fashion is too generic. There is a quality to vintage that makes it transcend items that are chosen for their fit, quality, and design value. Men often choose to wear vintage clothing based on the styles they like or the wardrobes of the idols they look up to. Consider looking like Jay Gatsby this spring season by pairing white or khaki pants with a white dress shirt and a lightweight jacket. An informal, outgoing outfit includes light blue jeans paired with an old band t-shirt and a flannel.
Anna Juarez associates Vintage styles with the clothes worn on That 70’s Show. “Vintage (talking about the television show That 70’s Show) is nice, I like it. I like the floral patterns and bell bottom jeans. The hairstyle then was very cool and stylish,” she said. “I looove vintage clothing, I love the bright colors and different patterns.”
“I really like the button-up shirts with the wide long sleeves,” said Brianna Hernandez. “They’re stylish. I have an orange shirt that’s a crop top and the sleeves are long and flowy. I wear it sometimes.”
