Food should be enjoyed

The entrance to the cafe is both informative and inviting.

The Joy of Eating Cafe is a quaint family-owned cafe in Suisun, near the waterfront. The outside of the cafe is charming, the little details making it all the more pleasant. I ordered French toast which starts with homemade bread. This definitely showed in the flavor. The French toast was crisp on the outside and light and fluffy on the outside; it was served with a pat of butter that melted into the toast, adding delicious flavor and appearance. My friend had ordered the blueberry pancakes that I sampled. The pancakes were the perfect texture and cooked all the way through. The blueberries added the acidity needed to cut the sweetness of the pancake and syrup itself. Wendy Hamilton from Google Reviews said, “I typically get the vegetarian omelet and they cook it perfectly!

With the veggies nicely cooked (not under done like some places) with wheat toast.” The facility was clean and well kept. The wait time for the food wasn’t long at all and was worth the wait. All staff members were friendly and helpful with everything our table needed. Brandon Gleeson, a local guide on Google, rated The Joy of Eating Cafe five stars, saying, “Very cozy place. Great for breakfast. Everything on the menu should have something attached that says ‘Just like mom used to make!’” This is a statement to which I agree 100%. The Joy of Eating Cafe was a pleasure to dine at and I will definitely be coming back soon!
