Wanna learn about fashion? Join the Fashion Club!
Fashion Club is all about fashion, new trends, and what people our generation is wearing these days. All styles are welcomed.
Fashion Club started in the 2018-19 school year and was mainly made up of International Baccalaureate (IB) seniors, but when they graduated, a new group of students stepped up. T’kai Smith revamped the club this year to gather new members, basically starting the club all over again. “I joined Fashion Club because I have a deep passion for fashion,” Smith said. “The club I run is sponsored by a college (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, or FIDM) and this is the main college I want to attend.”
Recently, Fashion Club members have been creating vision boards and they had some valentine projects planned for February. Smith said, “I really want to learn more about trends and have really open discussions on certain styles, but I need to have more dedicated members who are willing to stick with the club through thick and thin.”
Fashion Club meets on Thursdays at lunch in AC-5, Mrs. Redondo’s art class. The Fashion Club doesn’t use materials and sew things at this moment because they don’t have the funds, but they are going to be fundraising soon so they can get all the materials that they need for the club.
Anybody who is interested in fashion, whether it’s dressing to impress, making clothes, or even having Pinterest boards full of clothes and outfits, is welcome to join. The club is open to people who love fashion or want to start getting into fashion!
