College Focus: University of San Diego
The class sizes at the University of San Diego (USD) are smaller because they want to give a more 1-on-1 type connection, but it only matters if the school has the classes that students want for their majors.
USD is popular for their business, marketing, and management majors, so students interested in earning degrees in those subjects can expect to have good connections with their teachers.
While a 1-on-1 connection might be a primary draw for a college, there are obviously other things that need to be considered. The tuition at USD, for example, which is nearly $50,000 per year, and with all expenses it could be over $65,000, but after financial aid, it could be as low of $34,000.
The average grade point average (GPA) for students applying at USD is 3.89, which may seem high, but does factor in the strength of weighted grades and diverse classes. The overall acceptance rate is around 51% while the graduation rate is around 77%.
There is much more that USD offers that’s amazing and students who fit the profile are likely to end up not just with an excellent education, but with awesome memories as well.
