Senior Spotlight: The Future is Bright
Danielle Appel is coming closer to her dream of becoming a sonographer, otherwise known as an ultrasound technician. The next hurdle that she will have to clear is graduating from Armijo High School in June, and then it is on to Diablo Valley College.
Appel has attended Armijo since she was a feshman and has used her time wisely. She has played on the water polo team, been a part of the colorguard squad and is currently in ROTC. “I will miss the ROTC program the most when I leave,” she said.
While she does enjoy swimming, she is not part of the Armijio swim team. She said that she also likes to spend her free time listening to music.
New and current students would find her advice uplifiting. “Be independent,” she said. “Focus on your wants and needs and set goals.” She said that her own role model is her mother.
Like most of the students in the Class of 2019, Appel is looking forward to graduating and making that ceremony one of her favorite memories from her time at Armijo.
