Curtis knows that the best decisions take time and thought.

Although Curtis Jackson is a senior this year, in his four years at Armijo he did not join any club or sport. “If I would have joined any sport, it would have definitely been basketball or football, but I mainly just wanted to keep focused on my education and stay on the right track to graduate, although, I will particularly miss my friends,” said Jackson.

Jackson has been looking into the schools that will benefit him as he nears the end of his high school years.  “I most likely want to attend to UC Berkeley or Cal State and major in History,” he said.

When Jackson’s time isn’t being spent in school, he likes to play videos games that are related to basketball or shooting. He also likes going to parties.

“If I could give some advice to freshmen students I would say, stay focused and stay out of problems,” he said. “Don’t get into any drama.”

Jackson has two sisters,  one older sister named Arleija Jackson and one younger sister named Miangoley who is also at Armijo High.

Jackson had many memorable experiences with his friends such as playing basketball with his friends during lunch, although, “If I could change one thing from Armijo, it would definitely be the staff. I feel like the staff here aren’t involved much and don’t really understand how to control situations.”
