Basketball for Life

K’Maurier is hoping to play basketball for several years to come.

Don’t give up! That’s the advice that K’Maurier Jenkins would share to others who are contemplating taking up a sport in high school. He plans on playing basketball throughout high school and well into college. “I chose to play basketball because everybody in my family played but me,” he said. “So I had to play.” His most memorable game was one against Foothill.

Armijo isn’t the first team that K’Maurier has played for and he hopes that he’ll have a chance to play even after he graduates. His older brothers have been good role models for him. One is in college and hoping to score a place in the NBA (National Basketball Association). His other brother is currently earning a good living.

If he could change one thing about Armijo, it would definitely be sports related. “I would want sponsors and trainers for basketball,” he said.
