Tacolicious: A Restaurant that Gives Back
Giving back to the community is a rewarding and fulfilling feeling. There are many ways to give back and now they’re as simple as dining at a restaurant. At Tacolicious, their three locations team up and take 15% of the month’s proceeds to donate to local Bay Area public schools. Tacolicious is in partnership with 54 public schools and currently have donated more than $1,000,000. With locations in San Francisco, San Jose, and Palo Alto, diners can help schools just by ordering some delicious food.
Tacolicious started back in 2009 as a stand at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and opened its first restaurant in 2010. This makes it 10 years of yummy tacos. For the past seven years, Tacolicious has dedicated 15% to public schools. They have also partnered with Parents for Public Schools and the San Francisco Education Fund. This means that Tacolicious is a sponsor for the Maisin Scholar Award which gives scholarships to San Francisco seniors.
Restaurants like Tacolicious help make their community a stronger and friendlier place. By contributing in simple acts of kindness, anyone can help the community and Tacolicious makes it easy for diners to do just that with every order.
