Senior Spotlight: The Next Step Draws Near
Scott Cohen has been at Armijo since his freshman year. “I did track my freshman year and basketball my freshman and sophomore years,” he said. He started is high school career creating new experiences and would encourage others to do the same. In the fall, he is going to be creating new memories at a new school.
“I plan on attending a two-year college before transferring to Sacramento State. I want to major in Aerospace Engineering, and hopefully by the end I’ll have a job building and designing planes,” said Cohen.
He’s already well on his way as he likes to rebuild and modify cars in ihs spare time. He also likes to watch movies amd play basketball.
His older sister, Rachel, went to Armijo. She’s 21. His younger brother Lance will probably be here in a couple of years He is 12. “I’d say my biggest role models are Kobe Bryant and my grandmother,” Cohen said.
As he looks back on his years at Armijo, he said that he doesn’t have any specific memories that stand out, but “all the memories will last for sure… I’m extremely excited to graduate and start the next part of my life.”
If he could change one thing about Armijo, it would be the way the campus is set up. “I always wished we had an indoor campus, or at least like a connected campus and not just an annex, just because they are like the image of a normal high school,” he said.
