Clive Staples Lewis, best known as C.S. Lewis, became a massive success through his work, especially The Chronicles of Narnia book series. The series was his best-known fiction work, which sold over 100 million copies in 47 languages.

The Chronicles of Narnia is a seven book series where readers around the world, by reading about four British children during World War II, get magically transported to the fictional realm of Narnia. The series follows the entire history of Narnia, from the creation in The Magician’s Nephew to the ending in The Last Battle. Books in the series include: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician’s Nephew, and The Last Battle. Now, The Chronicles of Narnia is considered a children’s literature classic.

There’s been movie adaptations of three of the stories The film The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe made about $292 million at the box office in its debut in 2005. Prince Caspian was co-produced by Walt Disney Studios and released in 2008. By 2010, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was in theaters.

If things stay on track, The Silver Chair should be released in December, but there have been struggles in getting the potential blockbuster developed and insiders are not confident about the completion for the end of the year.

In 2018, Netflix announced that they were developing new series and film projects based on C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia series, according to https://media.netflix.com/.
