My name is Jalene Cruz. I am from California. I go to Armijo high school and I'm a senior in 12th grade. My family is Filipino but I was born in the U.S. so I am Filipino-American. I have 2 siblings, 2 dogs and my moms parents that live with us. I’m in Journalism because I wanted to try it out and learn from it, like writing about things or how to write so we can use it for future academics and important things. I’m starting to like being in Journalism because it helps my mind expand to new words and sentences, but also figuring out about myself and what I want to do. I do feel like it's somewhat hard to think of what to come up with but I’m still learning on how I can improve my writing. There are a couple things I like to share about myself, if I could look out my window everyday and see something that is my favorite thing it would be Disneyland. Disneyland is very nice in the day and can be hot but when it's night time, it’s cool with all the colorful and sparkly lights going on and you can hear the music playing from the parades and rides. If a person was next to me, and I was listening to music, it would be mostly old songs like the 80s, 90s, 2000s. Old music and new music is what I like a lot because we shouldn't forget the songs we listen to that have memories coming from it or the past.
My favorite books are “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett, and Junie B. Jones books. There are so many of those books and I read them when I was kid, my mom ordered the whole book set for me too. It was so cool but sadly I gave it away. My book genres I would like to enjoy would be romance, horror, or comedy. With my grammar, the 3 adjectives that describe me are easygoing, bold, and empathetic. 2 nouns that I love are desire and devotion, then 1 verb I enjoy is laugh because with anyone like friends or family I love to laugh and maybe too hard sometimes. Lastly, here are some things that foreshadow me and the interests that might predict my future is that I’m active in my house sometimes, I like to get tasks or chores done with loud music playing in the background or my earphones, and being at school I like to be caring and friendly around others. What's in my name is that I am funny, sweet, caring, chill, and easy to be friends with. That's it about me.
