Julian is proud to thrash the competition on the football field.

Julian Bucio is #61 on Armijo’s varsity football team.  In the Homecoming game on Friday, October 19, Bucio was really excited to play our rivals from Rodriguez High.

Bucio chose to play football because he has always liked the sport. He’s been playing for the school for two years and plans on attending Diablo Valley College and playing for their team in the future.

One of his most memorable games at Armijo was this year when the team played against Vanden. Memories are not always positive, though. That game, the football team lost because of things like missed tackles which could have been avoided, so that was not good.

While he is a dedicated football player, Bucio is much more. He is also a boxer and participates in the Barbell Club and the Automotive Club, a new club he and his friends are starting. In addition to sports and fitness, Bucio enjoys making videos.

Anyone wanting to join football should take Bucio’s advice: ”Just do it because there are a lot of benefits, like getting in shape. You also get to meet a lot a lot of new people.” Joining the Armijo football team also allows players to form a family and special bond. While Bucio is close to his family, he has one of his own at home, with one brother and one sister.

When asked if he could change anything about our school he stated that we should have more responsible staff and students.
