Jan 2018: All in a Name | Wherefore art thou?

By the end of ninth grade, most Armijo students are familiar with the famous Shakespearean tragedy titled Romeo and Juliet, but Romeo Ollison has been familiar with the title, or at least his portion of the title, all of his life. He says that people call out to him all the time, saying, “Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?”

Ollison has met someone else with his name, but he has yet to meet up with his Juliet. He also has no idea why his parents chose to give him such an unusual literary name, but it may be a family tradition. His cousin who used to attend Armijo had the first name Prince.

In a couple of years, Ollison hopes to be preparing to go to Sacramento State to continue his education, but he’s taking it easy while he is attending Armijo. He is not involved in any clubs or sports and does not participate in any extra-curricular activities. He does, however, enjoy listening to music, especially Alternative, R&B and Soul. Unlike his namesake, he probably wouldn’t enjoy listening to madrigal music from wandering minstrels.
