Ms. Suzanne Bruce, Fairfield Poet Laureate, is looking to creating the June column of The Poetry Connection, as well as posting poems at the Coffee Bar, in honor of the Juneteenth celebration!

If you have a poem you would like to share, email it to fairfieldpoetlaureate@gmail.com by Monday, May 29.  Be sure to include your name on the poem, what school you attend, and a couple of sentences about yourself.

“I will print them out, mount them on foam core and post at The Coffee Bar, 740 Texas Street, downtown Fairfield,” said Ms. Bruce. “Please feel free to email me if you have any questions!”

Ms. Bruce is looking forward to having a diverse collection of youth voices represented about this very special celebration!
