The Armijo Royals Boys’ Golf team shot their best team score in Coach Christian Stoll’s three years of coaching on Thursday, April 20.

Senior Ciaran Simmons has led the way all season long by shooting the #1 score in nine of the Royals’ ten matches. 51 is his best score, but 40s are on the way!

Senior Josh Rusit put up a 55 on Thursday, just two off of his best.

Freshman Mark Silva fired his best score ever with a 57, four strokes better than his previous best.

Junior Elijah Shackelford shot a 60, only two higher than his best.

Junior Justin Lau had a 62, also just a few away from a personal record.

Seniors Rikko Chan and Spencer Merodio, along with sophomore Jayson Mendaros have all been strong contributors on the course as well.

These guys love the game and are showing improvement every day. It is hoped that they all can set personal records in the meet during the last week of April against Fairfield.
