David Olmos started at Armijo as a freshman, but he can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and he is looking forward to graduating in a couple of months.

He said that he has had an amazing senior year so far. One of his favorite memories over the years was winning an award.

The year’s not over yet, though, and Olmos is looking forward to prom. He said that he can’t wait to have an amazing night in “Vegas.”

Olmos said that he enjoys his woodshop class the most. “I never would have thought I’d like it, but it’s really fun, especially if you have friends in your class. He described himself as smart and funny, and he can often be seen laughing and smiling with his friends, but he’s got some serious plans for the future.

After high school, Olmos wants to join the California Highway Patrol (CHP), but right now he is focusing on these last several weeks of school. Although he isn’t involved in any organized sports, he does enjoy going to the gym because it helps him take his focus off things that are stressful.

“Never give up,” Olmos offered as advice. He believes that people should believe in themselves, regardless of how bad a situation is. “If no one’s going to believe in you, then you should believe in yourself.” His own faith in himself has gotten him through his four years at Armijo and will help him meet his goals for the rest of his life.
