Calvin finds the positives in the world of work.

Calvin Krueger was born in Escondido, California, but for the last several months he has worked at In-N-Out in Fairfield. He wanted to work at the fast food restaurant because his mother works there, so when it was time for him to get a job she hooked him up. “I’ve always dreamed of working there anyway,” he said.

According to Krueger, In-N-Out is different because they provide the freshest food. None of their products are frozen and the ingredients are delivered fresh every other day.

There are several additional reasons he enjoys working at the restaurant. They have good pay above minimum wage. He also gets free meals and medical benefits. It’s not always easy, though. “Most people can’t deal with the fast-paced work environment, but I feel like that is almost most jobs,” he said.

Krueger also enjoys most of the people who work there and encourages others to apply by going through https://www.in-n-out.com/employment.

While a part-time job is ideal in high school, it is definitely not the end. College is the next option for Krueger because “it’s a good form of education, and can earn you a career instead of just a job,” he said. He’s thinking about joining the Air Force Academy.

The hobbies he currently enjoys in his free time involve Star Wars, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokémon.
