The competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over.

Details: Artists around the world are invited to submit their original artwork to the annual Animayo Festival POSTER CONTEST. The winning poster will be used to promote Animayo 2022.

Animayo is currently the first and only Spanish animation festival declared a “Qualifying Festival” by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Hollywood for the Oscar Awards®. Animayo winners are considered in the “Animated Short Film” category of the Academy Awards®.

Animayo was born in 2006 in Spain, directed by the Spanish director and producer Damián Perea. The festival is currently a benchmark in the field of animation, with 16 years of positioning, and is in a permanent phase of international expansion. It is an inspirational and motivational event, with 75% of training content aimed at promoting creative development and audiovisual production.

With onsite, online and virtual formats, it develops actions in the field of animation, visual effects, virtual reality, video games and new audiovisual technologies. From Gran Canaria (Spain), it extends its program to other cities and countries, in the “Animayo Itinerant” version, developed in Los Angeles, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Lanzarote, Portugal, Czech Republic, Brussels, Chicago, Mumbai, Prague, Colombia, Belgrade or Korea.

The 2021 edition will feature more than 60 international speakers.

Any technique in creating the poster is allowed.

The works should be unpublished.
