Everyone knows some annoying egotistical know-it-all (if you don’t know who it is, then it’s you) that some secretly hope will one day get their comeuppance: This is that fantasy brought to the screen.

Based on a true story (but better than that average story) and unique, Director Danny Boyle and actor James Franco visualize an everyday superman literally in between a rock and a hard place and then what it might take to get him out, keeping your interest by following the states of mind necessary to 1) keep sane and 2) escape.

The only real flaw is the main character himself, relentlessly charming, even to himself, hiding a bit of the old twisted underneath, and Franco lets you live in that for the length of the film.  Stay with it.  Don’t give up.  A memorable work. (Kevin M. Williams, Google Movie Reviews)
