It was 21 years ago that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was the #1 book on the New York Times Best Seller List for Young Adult fiction.

The Harry Potter series is such a phenomenal asset to the book world, specifically to J.K. Rowling fans. The Goblet of Fire was the fourth book of the series. Harry was starting his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Specifically in this book, Quidditch is a big deal to Harry, as it is always, but he learns new things about the game and about himself. This book gives us such a different perspective on many different people. We are introduced to dozens of characters, some from Hogwarts, and many from other Witchcraft and Wizarding schools.

All the characters are given distinctive roles, almost as if they have matured a lot. In The Goblet of Fire we are introduced to Cedric Diggory, a Hufflepuff, who is very popular, and a key asset to the story. He is the key to the readers and allows us to see Hufflepuff in more depth. We are always shown how the Slitherin house is, and now another house has time to shine. Cedric’s character shows us just how strong and important Hufflepuffs are to Hogwarts.

There are many ups and downs in the story, but the fact is that it opens up so many doors to help pave the way for the other books in the series. I think this book is so amazing, and deserves a read.
