Reconciliation could lead to return

CD review – Definitely Maybe

Definitely Maybe is a 1994 album by Oasis, an English rock band that formed in Manchester, England, in 1991, according to www.oasisinet.com. They developed from a band called The Rain, but has changed considerably over the years. It originally
consisted of Noel and Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Oasis broke up on August 28, 2009, but by then McCarroll had been replaced by Alan White in 1995, McGuigan had been replaced by both Andy Bell and Gem Archer in 1999, and keyboardist Paul Arthurs was also out in 1999. Noel Gallagher, the band’s songwriter, claimed that the band split up due to what became known as the ‘Paris altercation.’ According to Far Out Magazine, the Paris altercation occurred during the Rock ‘n Seine festival in Paris, France.

Liam began swinging his guitar around like an axe and that’s when Noah decided he couldn’t work with his band anymore. Noah and Liam never had the best relationship in the first place (https://rb.gy/93rl5o). I’m not a big fan of the band Oasis, and that includes the sound of their album Definitely Maybe, although, others might like it. I prefer more modern rock, and this song is more than 25 years old. If you would like to listen to rock, but be able to relax, then this band might be for you. It’s not all bad, though. Their guitar solos aren’t disappointing and they have good harmony, too.

If you’d like to make the decision yourself, check out the live album of Definitely, Maybe at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2oNRM8lhps. According to The Daily Mail, the band might be getting back together this year (https://rb.gy/ya2fl3). If you enjoy the sound of Oasis, you may have a chance to enjoy new work for them 12 years later, now that the Gallagher brothers are getting along with each other.
