Over Christmas, also known as Überweihnachten, is a 3-part miniseries on Netflix.

Over Christmas is a German romantic dramedy (drama / comedy combination) about a not-so-lucky musician named Bastian who heads home for the holidays. When he arrives home, he finds that his dream of a happy visit is tarnished by the fact that his younger brother is in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend.

He also discovers that, while he was away trying to become a successful musician, his best friends have become successful in their own fields, changing the groups dynamics.

Finally, a family secret is revealed that helps unite the brothers, but complicates more of the family dynamics. Who can he trust? Who can he share his feelings with?

The movie stars Canadian comedian Luke Mockridge, but it is in German so subtitles would be necessary. I would not recommend this movie to the younger audience because it is rated TV-MA. However, I would recommend this to the older audience who are into comedies with a relatable family drama
