Cynthia Silverio Garcia has been a student at Armijo for most of her high school years and despite COVID-19’s challenges, she is excited about the potential of her senior year.

“One of the things I’m really going to miss from Armijo is my teachers,” she said. “They really helped me with everything they could these years, and I’m so grateful for that…

If I could go back and change anything from my past years of high school, I would be not missing a lot of school days and participating in activities. I didn’t expect my last year to be like this and I really wish we could go back to school soon, but for now I feel like I’m barely learning anything during this distance learning.”

Silverio is still not sure about what she wants to do after high school, but she does expect to get a full time job until she decides whether or not she wants to pursue a college degree.

Silverio’s brother Marcelino is also a senior at Armijo, and both of them are paving the way to go on with the next chapter in life after graduation.
