I went to Hinata Japanese Steakhouse at 5113 Business Center Drive in Fairfield recently. The place was packed for the whole hour I was there. The service is excellent and the prices are right within my budget, not too expensive, with high quality food!

During normal times (not COVID-19 times), the restaurant accepts reservations, but diners can also walk in and wait for a table. The restaurant opens at 11 am Tuesdays through Fridays, and at noon on weekends. Closing is from 9 pm to 10 pm, depending on the day of the week. The food is cheaper when you go during their lunch special and lunch hours are from 11 am to 3 pm.

The food is so, so tasty, but the restaurant itself seemed a bit messy. I did not mind though; it was such a friendly environment to bring friends and family. . This place has become my hidden gem, I love it. When I went to Hinata, I got one of their famous steaks and it was delicious. “I usually take to American food, you know got to have my Pepsi!” said Katelyn Moreland. “But this place, Hinata, it’s not too bad. I quite like it.”

“It’s really good,” said Angelika Barret. “Definitely taking my food home in a box, to eat for lunch tomorrow!”
