Ms. Carter is a mix of patience and skill, creating an awesome Chemistry teacher.

Ms. Kimberly Carter has taught at Armijo for the past five years. She currently teaches chemistry and said that she loves all of her classes. This is her first teaching job and she enjoys the opportunity.

Ms. Carter teaches out of D-11, and said that she calls Armijo home. If it weren’t for teaching, Ms. Carter said that she’d be a field scientist in geology or ecology. She’d still do stuff related to the natural world. “I’d do actual studies out there,” she said. While being a scientist is a draw for her, though, she prefers the world of teaching. She also says that if she didn’t teach science, she’d teach math.

The University of California, Davis, was the school where Ms. Carter earned her teaching credential. “My biggest inspiration for teaching was my fifth grade teacher,” she said. “She made me want to be her.” If she has accomplished that goal, she will continue to be an inspiration for many other future teachers.
