It’s handy to have the Crafts around

When people ask about hobbies, they often talk about Arts and Crafts. Here at Armijo, we have two students who have the Crafts part down.

Ny’saan Craft is a tenth grader who finds that his last name is more unusual than his first name. “My name doesn’t really have a meaning, it is actually half my of my dad’s name but he added something else to it to make it unique.” The most common question asked about his first name is, “How do you pronounce it?” He often just goes by his nickname “Saan” to make it easier on people.

Like Ny’saan, his cousin Elijah Craft is also a sophomore. No one has mispronounced Elijah’s first or last name. He says that he only gets questioned about his last name and that people often ask, “Where is it from?” He said that he is not sure where his last originated, but he has never heard anyone make fun of it.

Both Elijah and Ny’saan said that they have no intention of crafting a new name, even if they had the opportunity.
