Bessy Monge is only a freshman, but the Girls’ Junior Varsity Soccer player, #18, is an excellent and supportive player on the team. “I like the energy playing soccer,” she said.

Monge loves to be active, but she also loves to be social. She loves to play soccer and to hang out with her teammates. She loves to goof off and joke around on the field during practice, but at game time she is 100% serious.

Soccer isn’t just her focus at school. She also follows it on television. Her favorite player, Lionel Messi, is #10 on the FC Barcelona soccer team. When there is a soccer game on TV, she loves watching it with her family and cheering on her favorite players.

For Monge, soccer is only one of the sports she excels at. She also likes to play volleyball and is hoping to be on the Armijo Badminton team.

Sports aren’t everything to Monge, however. “One of my other hobbies is art,” she said.
