We all know that video games are often associated with escaping reality and going on fantastic adventures, but sometimes people escape reality just to go into a simulation of it. Maybe they want to see what it will be like to become a farmer, a fast food worker, or even a goose. However, there is one type of simulator series of games that most people don’t even consider simulator games. You already read the title, so it would make no sense to do a dramatic reveal
right here. We all know about these games. They’re the favorite game for most 12-year olds and even a few adults. These games let you play as a soldier going through various wars, although the majority of them focus on World War II. Almost no one plays these games for the story, though. They’re too busy playing online going through the zombies’ campaign.

Now, as I said, we all know these games and some of us consider them very dear to our hearts. However most gamers think of them as copy-and-paste cash-grab trash, and to be truly honest with you, I kind of feel the same way. I’m not saying I hate these games. In fact, I do like some of them, but I feel as though these come out much too often. Most of the time sequels were much too similar and only existed to give the developers more money, and if they had any new ideas they should have made Downloadable Content (DLC) and one game for each console. Not many people really understand how DLC works, however, and companies will always be evil, no matter how much we tell ourselves. To be fair, though, the main purpose for these games was just to experience the simulation of warfare without having to be recruited, and that is honestly fair.
