Laura Cortez Garcia has been going to Armijo High School since she was a freshman, and she said that her freshman year was her best year so far. Armijo had been the school she wanted to go to, even when she was in middle school.

What she like about going to Armijo is that her friends go here, as well as the diversity and the stuff Armijo people do at the school.

Cortez’s favorite memory at Armijo is the football games and she will be enjoying her last season as a spectator this year. She said that she’s ready to graduate high school and she’s thinking of going to community college in the fall. It won’t be terribly different from going to Armijo, in some ways, though, because some of her friends will be going to the same community college and they will continue to spend time together. The surroundings may change after June, but the friendships will continue.
