Ah, yes, “the most wonderful time of the year.” Winter is approaching and the holidays are right around the corner. Neighbors string up lights and hang wreaths on their doors. The family snuggles up in their favorite pajamas and sits by the fire drinking cups of hot cocoa. Children walk door to door singing Christmas carols. The days are full of festivities and holiday cheer.

We expect the holidays to be the happiest time of the year. However, this is not always true. The high expectations for the holiday season to be perfect cause many people to become stressed out. People are worried over last-minute shopping. Cooking an amazing meal is no easy task.

Nevertheless, we must remember that the holidays are about bringing family and friends together. They’ll be over as quickly as they began, so cherish the little moments. Throw a snowball or two. Watch a funny movie. Focus on a time of giving. In essence, make memories, because that is what will last.
