As a senior, Malina Bohannan has a few words to share with students just starting at Armijo. “DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!! And keep an open mind,” she said.

Bohannan started attending Armijo as a freshman in August 2015 and joined Leadership in her sophomore year. As a junior, she participated as a distance runner on the track team. “My favorite memory is participating in the Homecoming skits,” she said. “I think I’m going to miss seeing my friends every day.”

In June, she will be on her way to college. “I’m leaning toward community college and then a transfer to a university,” Bohannan said. “I want to major in psychology, art or something business related… after school I want to be involved in the art industry. She has been inspired by her teacher, Ms. Marita Redondo and knows she will miss her “because she is such a sweetheart,” said Bohannan.

Art is a broad field and Bohannan has some experience in both visual and performing arts. She has been dancing for about ten years, with a repertoire that involves ballet and contemporary dance. “Recently I started Tahitian dancing,” she said. She also likes to paint and draw.

Bohannan has a 10-year old brother named Matteo. She said that her role models are her parents.
