Gabriel Wahid doesn’t think there is much of a specific role as treasurer for the Classof 2022. While his position has a specific title, Wahid believes that he and his fellow officers must work together to be successful.

That doesn’t mean that he doesn’t think that serving as an officer is important, though. He feels that one of his most important roles is to make sure everyone helps each other. ”I hope I can get everyone to come up with ideas and make sure everyone’s voice is heard and we are able to work together.” Wahid’s goal this school year is to prove to the upperclassmen that, even though they are the youngest, they can certainly do a lot of things.

Being Class of 2022’s officer is a start for Wahid to begin to help others and get out of his comfort zone. Just like his older brother and recent Armijo graduate Zack, Wahid also participates in cross country. He intends to stay in Leadership, and maybe serve as an officer, all four years, knowing that will contribute to him becoming a better person and a stronger leader.
