Resilient Neighborhoods internship opportunity

Suisun City is one of the most impacted places on the San Francisco Bay for Sea Level Rise. As part of this work we are looking to engage youth interns in helping to design and create the Suisun City of the future — a place that continues to thrive for everyone while addressing the impacts of a changing climate. In partnership with the City of Suisun and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission, Sustainable Solano is working to develop the Flood Resilience Action Plan to help adapt and mitigate in response to seasonal flooding and expected sea level rise across Suisun City.

Description:

Over the course of a three-month period, interns will:

  • Help with community engagement, education and capacity building across Suisun
  • Propose ideas on ways the city and those that live, work and learn within it can better prepare for current and future climate change
