Abimael Joy, Staff writer
Abimael Joy is a staff writer for The Armijo Signal. He is a fifth grader at the Public Safety Academy (PSA). He is a good student with good grades and he likes challenges in school. He has been on the Honor Roll in fourth grade and has gotten other awards from school as well.
He loves to read and would do anything to get a book in his hands. He read over three million words in the third grade and read over four million words in fourth grade. His favorite book series are the Harry Potter collection and the Percy Jackson collection.
He also enjoys spending time with his family. They love to cook together and really enjoy eating their creations afterward. Abimael said that he is always hungry. He could eat eight hot dogs and return two minutes later saying that he is hungry again.
He loves sports. His favorite sport is basketball and his favorite NBA player is Stephen Curry.
Abimael is the oldest of three children. His parents are Jebu and Sneha. His younger sister is Amia (6), and his youngest sister is Ayana (4).
