Kimberly “Kimmy” Tiss has been practicing water polo ever since she was very young – almost 10 years – although this is only her third year playing for Armijo. While the sport is important to her, it is just one of many.

When the water polo season is over, Tiss plans to participate in other sports for Armijo, including basketball and swimming.

She is both an athlete and a scholar at heart. She knows how to express the athletic side of her nature, but she hasn’t made a final decision about her scholastic future. She is considering Azusa Pacific University, but hopes to find a place where she can continue playing water polo.

One game that Tiss has played for Armijo in her junior year has left a lasting impression on her. The Indians were in the pool with the Dixon High School Rams, when she was able to help out her team out. This helped her develop a huge bond with her teammates.

Tiss’s role models include her mother who pushes both of her daughters to do amazing things. This has motivated Tiss to try her hardest, not only when playing a sport or doing extracurriculars, but in academics as well.
