Coach McConlogue offers sage advice to Diya Patel.

“I enjoy helping kids and staying active with the sport I love to play,” said Coach Paige McConlogue. “I want to share my knowledge of volleyball with others.” She would expect that attitude from anybody interested in coaching. She would tell new or potential coaches, “Give it your all and come back every day with a fresh outlook.”

She started coaching at Armijo four years ago and one thing that Coach McConlogue would like to see happen with athletics at Armijo in the future is an increase in attendance to events. She would love to see more “teachers and students supporting each other,” she said. “This will give students and teachers a chance to get to know one another on a different level.”

McConlogue went to Albermale High School in North Carolina and played volleyball, basketball and soccer. She went on to play volleyball at Western Carolina University.

While most volleyball is played indoors, McConlogue does enjoy spending her time outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking and hiking.
