“I grew up in the Bay Area, first on the peninsula in Menlo Park and then in the East Bay in Brentwood,” said one of Armijo’s newest assistant principals, Mr. Chris Hill.

“I went to high school at Liberty High in Brentwood, and then went to UCSD in La Jolla.” That was where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, his Masters in Education and his teaching credential.

After earning his degrees, he returned to the area and, in 2011, he started teaching math at the Sem Yeto Satellite campus at Armijo. “I chose Sem Yeto because I have a passion for working with struggling students and helping them to achieve success,” he said.

A few years later, when the district opened a Sem Yeto program at Fairfield High School, Mr. Hill moved to that campus and continued to teach math. “Then, in 2016, I enrolled in Touro Universities Administrative Services credential program and earned my Masters in Educational Leadership,” he said. He was then appointed as the
Assistant Principal to both Sem Yeto campuses, but spent most of my time at the Armijo campus.

“I love Armijo, and I am very excited to be here this year. I can’t wait for the new and exciting challenges that a comprehensive site will bring,” he said.
