Senior is fast on his feet

Cole Thompson started playing baseball when he was only five years old and now he is playing on Armijo’s Varsity Baseball team “I love the failure in baseball. I think it teaches me a lot about how to fail yet get up and keep trying, which is important in life, he said.

During the season, baseball is not an easy sport and can be very demanding. Thompson said,For the school I practice about five days a week and then, on my own, I train six or seven days out of the week.” It takes real dedication to be that committed to a sport.

Thompson enjoys baseball so much that he has even considered making a career of it and playing Major League Baseball, but that is not his main focus yet. “My goal right now is just to be the best student athlete that I can be and hopefully the rest will figure itself out, he said. Thompson plans to attend California State University Fresno and playing for the Bulldogs.

“One of my strengths is definitely my speed. At my best, I was ranked 12th in the USA when it came to the 60-yard dash recorded nationally by Under Armour, he said. To find out more about Thompson’s statistics, go to https://bit.ly/2LzRDIp.
