The Armijo High School Super Band went head to head with Benicia High School at the Vallejo Band Review on Saturday, May 12.

“Before results were distributed, judges approached me and told me how spectacular the band sounded in performance,” said band teacher Ms. Louise Jacob. “Other band directors from other schools came up to me and couldn’t believe how amazing we sounded. I already knew we were amazing ”

While it wasn’t a clean sweep, the Indians won the following awards:
Parade Sweepstakes
Music Sweepstakes
Showmanship Sweepstakes
1st Place Guard
1st Place Drum Major (Ayra Gaerlan)
2nd Place Concert (Wind Ensemble)

“Our scores have been high all year and we have the highest average score in NCBA this year,” said Ms. Jacob.

The band has one more performance and that ends the year of performances.  “Thank you for all of your support this year,” Ms. Jacob said.
