Art Fest schedule of events (May 8 – 10)
We are excited for our 1st ever “Art Fest”. I know we have had some wonderful art on display at different times in the year and we wanted to help celebrate our artistic students to start off May
Tuesday, May 8 – Paint & Sip (Grass Area By the Library)
Join Mrs. Redondo as she leads a group in a water color painting session in the grass area on the left side of the library during lunch. Apple Juice will be provided as you explore your painting talents.
*Staff and students welcome to paint (40 spaces available)
Wednesday, May 9 – Chalk the Walk (Main Quad)
Come and chalk the squares in the quad (By the blue “A” logo) after school on Wednesday, May 9. We will provide everything you need…chalk, refreshments and music. Simply bring your friends and some creative ideas. We will go from 2:30pm until around 4:00pm.
Thursday, May 10 – Art Gallery Walk and Judging (Outside the Library)
Art work is being turned in this week from all over campus. You can turn in as many works as you’d like (painting, drawing, photography, sculpting, welding, woodwork, etc) to AG-5…IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO TURN IN…WILL ACCEPT ARTWORK UNTIL TUESDAY, MAY 8. Artwork will be out on display during lunch on Thursday outside of the library. We will have a prize for students who come and view a certain number of art pieces.
*We are also looking for faculty judges to award prizes to our artists.
