Hi everyone, my name is Nalani Cruzen and I am currently running to be elected into the Senior class office for the 2018-2019 school year. I consider myself to be a very kind-hearted, passionate, happy, genuine person. I’m very family oriented, anyone who knows me knows that my family and friends will always come first in my life. I like to take a lot of pride and responsibility in the work that I do for my community as far as volunteer work goes, I volunteer at multiple animal shelters such as Sunset Animal Hospital, A.S.P.C.A center, and Operation Hope for the homeless. I have been involved in the Leadership program for my 9th and 10th grade year, but I sadly had to take my junior year off to invest all my efforts into the IB program and my studies. The time that I spent away made me realize how much I love this program and all that it does for not only the student body, but for our own community as well. This ultimately made me want to get more involved and run to be a class officer so I can have a say in the program and have a say for change. I had the honor of holding the position of a committee head for Battle Of Armijo my sophomore year and it really gave me a sense of what being a leader is, especially when you have to be able to step up to the plate and take that role as a leader. The role that this program plays with the community is one of the best characteristics about it, some of my favorite community services that I have been apart of would have to be; Community Holiday, which is where our leadership program buys presents and hosts a fun night in our gym to give back to those children and families in need as well as Sped Track Day where our special needs children from all over the FSUSD come to our school to compete and have fun with familiar faces. If you elect me to hold a class officer position I want to let your voice be heard, to have a better understanding with the student body, because overall communication is key always. Please Vote for me and I promise to give my all to make Armijo a more enjoyable place where everyone’s voice is heard!!!
