CD Review: Xscape Returns

Xscape first hit the music scene in 1992, but R&B lovers will be glad to know that they are making a comeback more than 25 years later.

Xscape is a American female R&B quartet group from Atlanta, Georgia. In 1992, Xscape was a quintet, including Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, LaTocha Scott, Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, and Tamera Coggins-Wynn. Coggins-Wynn left the group in 1993 and Xscape became a quartet. According to Wikipedia, the group disbanded in 1998 to pursue other projects.

Some of Xscape’s top songs from the past included Who Can I Run To, My Little Secret, and Just Kickin’ It.

In 2017, Xscape reformed to bring back the music our parents loved, and the trend of vintage culture. A couple of songs were released and are available on YouTube, but Kandi Burruss left soon afterward, leaving the group to be a trio. On March 2, Xscape 3 released their EP called Here For It.
