As the years go by the world comes up with more high technology. Since 2015, there had been rumors of self-driving cars and in the last few months those rumors have become more and more reality. With new technology comes new dangers from hackers. This site provides 20 pros and cons about self-driving cars: https://goo.gl/wSHtwH.

So what do they have to tell us?

Some cons can be that a self-driving car “doesn’t completely eliminate the likelihood of a car accident. In fact, there’s no legal precedent for how a case would be handled. The difficult question of who holds responsibility in a car accident- the driver? The car manufacturer? The software developer? While the likelihood of accidents is generally reduced, the question of responsibility could be a problem. “Since 81% of car crashes are the result of human error, computers would take a lot of danger out of the equation,” the article shares.

The biggest fear of self-driving cars doesn’t actually have to do with the technology but the opportunity for that technology to be hacked.

If self-driving cars become the norm, several questions arise. Will they make the world lazier? Will they bring more hazards to the streets? Will driving become a skill that fewer young people possess? Will the designers develop energy saving vehicles?

In a community that relies on cars like California does, will self-driving cars simply be a fad or will they change the landscape as we know it?
