When Abdulbari Saeed had a chance to leave his hometown in Egypt, it wasn’t a hard choice. “It was a war zone,” he said. He came to the United States with his mother, his father and his sister but he had to leave the rest of his family behind and he misses them.

Saeed came to California in 2016 because he wanted to learn English and work. He is enjoying his time at Armijo and enjoys having the opportunity to improve his speaking and writing skills. When he graduates, he plans to stay here. His goal is to continue with his education by attending Solano Community College and he has no plans to move back home.

Saeed is currently a junior and intends to graduate with the Class of 2019.
