Senior Spotlight – Donnique Romby

Although Donnique Romby has only been at Armijo for the last year and a half, she has every intention
of finishing her senior year off strong. She only wishes that she could have created more memories
before she leaves. “I feel like everybody is so distant and boring,” she said. If she could make changes,
she “would change all the activities and make everybody communicate and have fun with each other.”
Romby has not participated in any sports but she has spent time making funny memories with her
friends and she knows she will miss that opportunity. She intends to go into the medical field but
currently enjoys spending her time shopping, playing sports, traveling and drawing.
As her role models, Romby cites her parents and her grandparents. She also has two brothers and a
sister. If she had the opportunity to share advice with students who are new to Armijo, she said that she
would tell them, “Be yourself, learn and stay out of trouble.”
