Chettfour makes time for it all

For Ramil Chettfour, volunteering at NorthBay hospital runs in the family. “My brother has done the NorthBay hospital work and I thought it would be an interesting choice to give to the community,” he said. He has been part of the program for three years.

“I choose to volunteer to discover what I like to do in life as well as build my resume,” said Chettfour. While at NorthBay, his responsibilities include wheeling patients out to their vehicles, delivering equipment and samples and making packets for new patients. He also gets to talk to patients.

People often think that they don’t have time for volunteering, but Chettfour has time for it and much more. He also plays the tuba in marching band, is on the tennis and wrestling teams and is a member of the Model UN, the Barbell Club and the Poetry Club. He also enjoys listening to music. “I love all types of music,” he said, “but you can never go wrong with rock and pop music.”

The next stop for Chettfour, after he graduates in June, he hopes to go to the University of Southern California (USC).
