All hail the royalty of Armijo

There are no red carpets. People don’t stop in the hallways and drop to their knees in respect, but Armijo is flush with royalty.

Prince Jackson was named after his father so he goes by one of his middle names, Aaron. While his father wanted to create a tradition of naming his child after himself, his mother contributed the middle name. Jackson has two sister who went to Armijo, but he is making a name for himself. He plays both football and basketball now, but he hopes to be in college in a couple of years, probably in Miami, Florida. If he doesn’t find himself there, he will probably end up in the military.

Princess April Marcilla earned her name from her mother. She will graduate in June and she plans to go to U.C. Berkeley where she will study to become a doctor. For now, though, she will enjoy school and play for the badminton team in the spring.

Both Jackson and Marcilla like to listen to hip hop and R&B, but the third member of the Armijo royalty, Duke Delorefice, said that he likes all music. Delorefice isn’t the only one in his family with an unusual name. His older brother Drake graduated from Armijo in 2016. After graduation, Delorefice plans to go to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo but, before that, he will be playing golf for Armijo.

Maybe because their names are all unique, none of them said that they would change them. The only other royalty on campus, Arlanden Prince, was unavailable for comment.
