One culture with a variety of flavors to suit your palate.

This experience was very different for me. As someone who has never tried Thai food before, it definitely opened my eyes to another world. The different cultures and food that are a part of that just amaze me. Being able to experience this was very wholesome and enlightening.

My parents took me out to Vacaville to pick up my order from Rose Garden Thai at 898 Alamo Drive. My family didn’t have much interest in trying it, so I just ordered a little bit of food for myself. When I walked into the restaurant it smelled like fried pork, which was weirdly pleasing.

Have you ever had that moment when you walk into a restaurant and the aroma of the food just hits your nose? I feel like this is a big moment in knowing whether the food is going to be good or not, and when I smelled the aroma of pork, I had a positive reaction.

It was a Wednesday when I went in and it wasn’t very packed. The person at the register was very nice and quick to get me my food. They added some utensils and extra sauces that I appreciated. I ordered the Pork Spring Rolls, and the B.B.Q Pork noodles. The spring rolls were very tasty and had a nice saltiness. I didn’t like the peanuts, but just removed them.

I then ate the noodle soup. I really enjoyed it. At first the soup had a little bit of sour in it and I added some hot sauce and it made it really good. Dipping the spring rolls in the soup juice was good as a dipping sauce.

I would give the overall food a 7/10. I felt like the experience was there and made me feel like I was experiencing a new another culture, and would give that a 9/10. I feel people should go even if the food doesn’t appeal to their pallet, just to know you experienced Rose Garden Thai.
