A cozy eatery that appreciates its customers.

A cozy eatery that appreciates its customers.

At Taquería la Mexicana (1215 W Texas St. Fairfield), even the employees have favorites. Their most popular item on their menu is a chicken flautas with a side of rice and beans.

Taquería la Mexicana is open every day from 11 am to 7 pm, although most of their business comes around 4 pm when students come in for an afternoon snack. Students at Armijo have already shown how much they enjoy this restaurant because they visit often. While it might take 13 minutes to walk to Taquería la Mexicana, and the journey down Texas Street may take you past several other restaurants, including Alejandro’s Taquería, another excellent Mexican eatery, it’s well worth visiting.

Almost everyone is welcome at the restaurant, but there have been some challenges, especially when specific customers are rude. Sometimes people even try to come in with no shoes, and the staff at the restaurant sends them away.. One staff member said that a customer behavior that annoys him is when they order something and complain about the order being wrong when they were the one that ordered it. Even though this is annoying, they are positive and willing to make the change.
