Involvement in Leadership and The Signal keeps Elijah fully aware.

Elijah Shackford started attending Armijo High School during the pandemic and currently serves as the treasurer of the Class of 2024.

Since most of the officers share the responsibilities for activities, Shackleford has been part of a few planning committees, one of the biggest ones being planning for the homecoming dance in October.

In the future, he plans to help develop the leadership houses, which will cut the leadership class into fourths. These houses will help plan things like the Battle of Armijo (BOA) and activities related to Powder Puff.

He keeps his head in the game by being part of the editorial staff for The Armijo Signal and has served as the Classes editor in his sophomore year and is currently the Classes & Clubs editor this year.

Shackleford is looking forward to Associated Student Body (ASB) elections in the spring and hopes to be part of the leadership for the entire school. He said that has been a dream of his since he started attending Armijo High School and he’s a proud Royal.
